Council Member Casey Thomas, II, issues statement about funding available to address root causes of poverty

Council Member Casey Thomas, II issues a statement about City funding available for community organizations to address root causes of poverty:

“Due to overwhelming response from the residents of Dallas to address the root causes of poverty, the City of Dallas has made funding available in the 2020-21 budget to do just that.

“In the city of Dallas, we have many nonprofits that have been working daily to provide help and needed resources to communities impacted by COVID-19 and other challenges.

“In an effort to do the City’s part, the Council made funding available to address some of the issues that have historically caused these communities to be neglected and underserved.”

“To take advantage of these opportunities, register your nonprofit or community organization with the Office of Procurement Services at dallascityhall.bonfirehub.com to receive notification for and  apply for contracts with the City of Dallas to make that vision come true.”
